Where do you work out in Federal Way?
You have Bally’s up across from the The Commons Mall up 20th to S. 316th Pl.
Then there is 24 Hour Fitness up by where the old Target and Toys R Us use to be off of 314th . It is situated among a little strip mall that also has Gene Juarez, Sally’s Beauty Supplies, Tuesday Morning and a few others.
And probably the most popular right now is the new LA Fitness. And it is quite spectacular with its lap pool, cycling rooms, basketball courts, weights and many classes. And don’t forget the Federal Way Community Center that is new itself. It even has a climbing wall.
My favorite place though, I guess because it is close to me, is North Hill Fitness. Yes, North Hill Fitness is not technically Federal Way. It is in Milton. Milton is a small little town bordering Federal Way. But it is just so close to me. I live in the Hill Creek Development that is in South Federal Way, right along the Pierce County/King County Border line. So I live in Federal Way, have a Milton phone number and my kids go to school in the Fife School District. I love the location because it puts me close the Enchanted Village/Wild Waves Park (Six Flags), Crossings Shopping Center and the Commons Mall and I get to feel a little bit country by being close to Milton, Fife, Edgewood and Puyallup.
The North Hill Fitness center is simple. Just the way I like things. It doesn’t have showers but I am only 2 minutes from my own shower when I am done. And it has all the equipment I need for cardio and weight training. At least for now. Plus, it allows me to afford my teenage children to have memberships too.
Don’t under-estimate some of these little guys.
