Milton! What’s Milton? Well, I consider it a little neighborhood of Federal Way but it really is more than that. It is it’s own little city along the border of Federal Way South and hedgeing up toward Edgewood, another quaint little city. I claim them both because they are so within reach. I guess especially to me.
So here is a look at the Surprise Lake Skateboard Park in Milton by Surprise Lake Middle School.

I just had to let you know!

Yes, the leaves are turning. And I am joining in with everyone else who has taken a shot at Fall. Leaves of Gold that look a little like toasted days of sunshine. Warm weather, cold weather. Who knows what we’ll be doing; from skateboarding to yard work. One thing is for sure. Eventually we will be raking all of those leaves! Enjoy your good days!

I’m a day late but yesterday was absolutely gorgeous (that is October 23,2007). It was a record high for us this time of year. And you could tell. . . people were back to the parks. Myself included!

On one side you have the lake, park with swing set and picnic areas.

And on the other side . . . well I will show you tommorrow.
Federal Way hosted the Women’s only triathlon for Ovarian Cancer (sponsored by Subura) here at the great Steel Lake Park. This park has a lake for swimming, picnic areas, ballfields, volleyball courts and a basketball court. And a wonderful kids play area. It is also the site for a summer concert series. 2410 S. 312th St.
With almost 52 acres this park is a must see. You will just love it.

Another great article from Kathleen Cragun on “Staging Your Home for Sale”.
Can you go from this. . .

To this: ………………………………………………………………………… In 6 days?!??????????????

Yes, I know the room isn’t the same but the concept is. My kitchen didn’t look as bad as this office (Larry’s) but I don’t recommend trying to get your home ready for sale in six days. As I preach in my staging articles Fix In, Fix Out, Clean Up, Clean Out and all that entails, is generally more than one (or two) can do in such a short time. What I wouldn’t give for Harry Potter’s magic wand! Nevertheless, our home is for sale. An opportunity arose and we had to strike.
This brought to my mind that I had promised one more staging article on “Showing Your Home”. After you have done all that stuff I suggested in my posts, http://www.issaquahundressed.com/tags/staging-your-home-for-sale/, each day your home is for sale you should set the stage. For her 7 point list. . .
And yes, I know this “mad stager” personally.
Thanks again Kathleen.

For Me fish tacos were like Green Eggs and Ham, “I do not like them Sam I am!” But. . . I had never really tried one. And once I did I could eat them anywhere. I discovered them this summer when a friend of mine insisted that I would like them.
I am not a fast food type person (just ask my kids) but I was reminded about how much I liked them when I rushing here and there in my car and I was starving to death (not quite). I needed something good, something fast and yes for the moment something cheap. Del Taco! There was only $4.00 in my wallet and for a whopping $3.90 I was able to get 2 fish tacos. I am a water person so I could skip the pop. They were great and then I was off and running again.
Try them, you’ll like them!

I do like green eggs and ham, I will eat them Sam I Am . . .
By the way, Del Taco is up by the new Super Wal-Mart in Federal Way.

This is one of my favorite houses in the Kingsgrove neighborhood. No, it is not for sale. But I watched the new owners from about a year or so ago transform this home into their own by giving it a little up front yard face lift. I loved driving by and seeing the pavers go in, the front porch decking and stairs being added and then the sod and the tree. The family had a plan and you could tell. There was always some activity going on, some I am sure from undercover of my watchful eye. They really turned their house into “their” home.

This is a little glimpse of a few more houses in Kingsgrove. This is nice quiet neighborhood. Some of the homes are a little older and therefore in a little need of updating. Their potential is great for starting out as a family.

I know, it’s a little entrance. And it’s not a thorough fare. It’s plain and simple. You have to go out the same way you came in. And that is precisely one of the perks of this charming neighborhood. As you turn into the Hill Creek Development (which is an extension of the Regency Woods Division) you have a few options. To the right is Kingsgrove and as you continue through Kingsgrove you come to Stonecreek. Now, if you don’t turn right and you just go straight ahead you come into Hill Creek which extends into Regency Woods and a lovely neighborhood park.
We’ll show you Hill Creek first.

As you can see, a few houses are currently up for sale in this charming or should I say enchanting neighborhood. If you are coming from Enchanted Village/Wild Waves, the Six Flags theme park, you turn right onto 28th street at the light off of Enchanted Parkway and then right again where you will see the Hill Creek sign.
People love it here. It is full diversity with its friendly familes. There are many culdesacs off the main road for kid friendly living. The park is set up on top of the hill with a basketball court and play equipment. And the view from this little hillside park is quite spectacular, especially during the 4th of July. (Sorry, my shot of the park didn’t make the cut. I will try again.)
