A Community Service Day
A few weeks ago, I was able to be involved in a special event. One that involved cleaning up some of our parks by wiping out graffitti and getting dirty by weeding and hauling. We were suppose to take care of the graffitti situation at the skate park at Steel Lake. But we ended up with rainy whether so cleaning up a portion of the park that was cause of concern as to safety became our new task. The Federal Way Parks and Service crew were there to supply us with tools and direction as we dug in. Attitudes were positive despite the rain and we all had alot of fun. I was part of the Windermere Federal Way group as part of our traditional, annual Community Service Day and there were many other groups that I spotted because I ended up driving around trying to find my own. It felt good to be among such good company.

As you can see we had all ages, friends and family members that came out to join us. Plus, we had those that made things very entertaining. It was a good job done by all. Hats Off!
