The Metropolitan Market . . . at a gourmet level!

Posted by federal way undressed 2 Comments »

This is a beautiful produce market. There are isles full of variety, baked goods, a deli full of specialty sandwiches and salads; plus wines and cheeses. You can get lost because there is so much to sample and to check out. The coconut cream pie is delicious.

Take a little tour and you’ll come home with all sorts of fun stuff for the family. Food, that is.

Inside Look at Marlene’s Market and Deli in Federal Way

Posted by federal way undressed No Comments »

Marlene’s is my short version of talking about Marlene’s Market and now I realize I seem to forget to mention the Deli part.  Marlene’s is one of my favorite places to eat if I didn’t mention it before.  You may know they have natural foods, organice produce and varieties of supplements but their Deli should not be forgotten.  For a feel good healthy lunch Marlene’s really can’t be beat.  A friend of mine from California who is surrounded by fresh food all the time says this is the only place he wants to eat when he visits here.  It may be a little expensive but they don’t have a whole lot of competition out here yet.

Here again, very user friendly!

Cookies! Bread! The Great Harvest Bread Co. is in Federal Way

Posted by federal way undressed No Comments »

I must have food on the brain.  But I have to tell you, I bought a few giant cookies from this little company at the Farmer’s Market on Saturday.  I just haaddd to try them.  They were delicious.  So on Monday I went to grab a bunch for my kids and their friends.  Well, while I was there I was asked if I would like to try a slice of one of their breads.  They had a few different loaves out.  Sooo, I asked for a taste of the Honey-Whole Wheat one.  This turned out to be a whole slice.  A nice thick slice, with butter.  It was absolutely the best.  I was just so impressed with their friendliness and service and when they offer a taste they really mean it.  All I am trying to say is - you gotta try them.  The Great Harvest Bread Company.  They are up by the Galaxy Theaters, by the Cold Stone ice cream shop.  Mmmmm, did I just say ice cream.  Enjoy!
