A Little More on Federal Way’s Farmer’s Market

Posted by federal way undressed No Comments »

Jack’s use to be one of my favorite summertime markets.  But, now it no longer exists.  It was sold.  Yes, there along the Fife flats of farmland things are changing.  Which makes you appreciate the motivation and incentive of keeping our own Federal Way Farmer’s Market going and growing.  I, too, made a visit to our own Farmer’s Market as things were whinding down.  There were bouquets of beautiful flowers for $10.00 and the produce looked so fresh and wonderful.   What was even better is that the people were friendly.  Everyone was happy to be there and greeted each  other with a smile.  This little canopy of shops is just a great venue for strolling and enjoying.

Young and old will enjoy coming to the Farmer’s Market.  I just love our diversity.

Just A Little Ballroom!

Posted by federal way undressed 1 Comment »

I just thought I would put in a little plug for an organization that has been working with the young men and young women of our Federal Way Community.   They have unofficially been teaching ballroom dance to young people for 15 years and now have become an official organization called Pacific Ballroom.  The performance that I attended at the beginning of June was just fabulous.  You had your beginner groups all the way to competitive teams and the audience just loved them.  All age groups were represented in the audience and no one was disappointed.  What makes them so impressive is that most of this group functions through the work of many parent volunteers.  So, if you have some teenagers that would like to learn something fun and boost their self-esteem check out Pacifice Ballroom at www.PacificBallroom.org.  And be ready to be entertained next year.
