As I hear the rain return tonight as we end a bit of a sunny streak I am reminded that spring is just around the corner. Oh, yes, Spring! A time to breathe. Time for some new adventures, walking boardwalks and beaches. What a better place to start then a beautiful park. For your information we have our very own State Park, here, in Federal Way. With trees, beach (that means water) and picnic areas. It may not be summertime but these pictures give you a glimpse as we break into Spring!

The Green is starting to show through. Welcome, Please come on In - Spring.

I’m a day late but yesterday was absolutely gorgeous (that is October 23,2007). It was a record high for us this time of year. And you could tell. . . people were back to the parks. Myself included!

On one side you have the lake, park with swing set and picnic areas.

And on the other side . . . well I will show you tommorrow.
Federal Way hosted the Women’s only triathlon for Ovarian Cancer (sponsored by Subura) here at the great Steel Lake Park. This park has a lake for swimming, picnic areas, ballfields, volleyball courts and a basketball court. And a wonderful kids play area. It is also the site for a summer concert series. 2410 S. 312th St.
With almost 52 acres this park is a must see. You will just love it.

All you need is the sun to come out and then you truly have something to Celebrate. And that they did the other day at Celebration Park. Actually, there were alot of softball games going on and everyone was enjoying every minute of it. This park is truly spacious with its many ball fields, play stations and walking trails. There is plenty of room to spread out and just be.

I should mention that this park is by the Federal Way Community Center. So this little spot of the world has alot to offer you. But strolling is probably my favorite.
