Things have been Hoppin’ at Joemma Beach and it’s so close to Federal Way!

Yes, Joemma Beach is very serene and more and more boaters are able to take advantage of it. The new docking set up has really brought people together to enjoy this lovely state park.

I know I have said this before but this is one of my favorite parks. And on this day the tide was high and there was no walking along the sandy part of the beach. So, we took to the docks instead. It was alot of fun. People were fishing and crabbing and visiting.

The Key Peninsula seems to be a place that many people from Federal Way like to go. Many have little cabins on the water so they can go water skiing. Others are just like me and just like to enjoy the ocean water and the beautiful scenery of the State Parks.

I am lucky becauseI have friends who have property out that way in Vaughn, Washington. It is only a few minutes away from both State Parks on the Key Peninsula. That is how I manage to swing by my favorite park away from home. And now it is up for sale. I will tell you more about that later.

It was one beautiful day.

Want Something out of the Norm? Go to Northwest Trek! It is so Close to Federal Way!

If you are up for a small adventure you will love going to the Northwest Trek.  The 45 minutes drive is well the trip.  The day I went with some friends there were so many animals out and yes we actually got to see the buffalo (the big brown guys). and their babies (the orangy guys).

The tour bus was open and you had a chance to see things up close if they were that close to you.  Which at times it is amazing how close you come to touching them.  Though you better not.

There were even reindeer (the Caribou).  It was so fun!

Yep, you gotta go!  For more information go to nwtrek.org.
